Boldmere Shaggy Dogs

 

Boldmere Shaggy Dogs Golf Club is a friendly golf club for senior golfers in the heart of Sutton Coldfield.

​

Our main club competition day is Friday, but we also play on other days of the week. Members compete in our Trophy competitions (see our honours boards), but we also have fun days when we play even more relaxed golf.

​

We play matches against many other local club's seniors' sections as well as away days at other interesting courses and have a yearly overnighter at selected hotel courses.

​

The focal point of the year is our presentation evening dinner when lucky golfers receive their awards and we celebrate another year of our wonderful sport.

​

Positioned on the banks of Powell's Pool, one of Sutton Park's most attractive lakes, the course has some excellent long par threes and fours. There are ten par threes in total, some of which are surrounded by hazards.

The course itself is run by not for profit organisation Mytime Active, who keep the course in excellent condition winter and summer.

New members are always welcome, our age limit is 57+ and you must be able to play regularly on our main club day on Fridays.
